About The Place

Crowned as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, the Myrtos Beach must be at the top of your must-visit places in the country. The beach is the best known in Kefalonia with incredible cliffs hit by the electric blue waters. Go for a refreshing dip in the sea when you need to cool off, or sit back and relax during the day with a stunning view in your surrounding. Explore the limestone cliffs and thick forests that border the beach. You can end your day with a few drinks at one of the famous beach bars.

Before You Go, Tips & Guide

You can reach Kefalonia by ferry from the towns of Crete, Athens, Patra or Igoumenitsa. From there, you can access the beach through a private boat, car or by scooter. Due to poor parking lot, we recommend you to rent a scooter to access the beach. There will be many potholes on the way, and you can easily cross them on a scooter. Make sure to wear water shoes as it will be difficult to walk on the beach pebbles without them. The beach waves drop off quickly and sharply. Therefore, visitors need to take extra care with kids.
