About The Place

Inside the Curú Wildlife Refuge in Costa Rica, there is one of the most beautiful and exotic beaches; Playa Quesera. Crystal clear turquoise water, white sand and stunning waves make all visitors fall in love with this beach. Quesera is listed as an unspoilt beach as not many visitors are aware of its location. You can enjoy several activities here such as swimming in its clear waters, lounging under the shade of a palm tree, kayaking, snorkeling, and watching the beautiful sunsets. Don’t forget to explore the lush green surrounding of the beach, especially if you want to see wildlife.

Before You Go, Tips & Guide

Due to the secluded location of the beach, its access is not easy. We recommend you to take a boat from Curú to Quesera that will cost about $20. The boat will take around 40 minutes from Curú to Quesera. The hours of the beach are 7 am to 4 pm. Visitors are not allowed at the beach after 4 pm unless staying in the cabin at the Wildlife Refuge. Bring enough food and water with you if you are coming here for a day only as you will not find any such service at the beach that is totally virgin.
